The logo and its meaning read as follows:

The fish symbolizes Christianity and here it represents the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. The eye of the fish is the watchful eye of God who seeks to help those of us who are in need. The crossing - or knot - of the tail represents the union and harmony between members as well as union with those in need. The circle surrounding the logo represents planetary, or global, quality. of CSVP, an international organization. The words "serviens in spe" mean "to serve with hope", the hope that comes to us from Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The head office:

Our head office is located at 51 and 55 rue Des Échevins, Sector Saint-Luc of the City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada, J2W 2N6, (450-349-1553).

Since April 23, 1974, the St-Vincent-de-Paul Conference of Saint-Luc helps low-income people through the dedication of nearly 150 volunteers who work weekly to support and allow those who experience temporary life difficulties to improve their conditions and maintain their dignity.

History of CSVP Saint-Luc

The St-Vincent-de-Paul de Saint-Luc Conference remains almost entirely thanks to its family counter but also thanks to donations from the general public and businesses. That’s why the Conference St-Vincent-de-Paul de Saint-Luc gives full attention special to its loyal volunteers and generous donors, who enable the organization to provide meaningful assistance to the most destitute.

Thanks to these precious donations, nearly 2,000 people are helped annually by the St-Vincent-de-Paul de Saint-Luc Conference, which is equivalent to over $ 150,000 invested in direct aid to individuals FROM HOME who are in need.

Fundamental Principles are :

  • Alleviate suffering and promote the dignity and integrity of the person

  • Discover and rectify the situations that are the cause

  • Renew and adapt to the changing conditions of the world

May Charity do what Justice alone cannot do.
The only rule to be set for human actions, the only law that must govern, is the law of LOVE.
Love is given without impoverishing, is communicated without dividing ... its intensity increases as it gains in scope.
The greatest good we can do to others is not to share our riches with them, but to reveal theirs to them.
